Maruti e-Vitara Design: Fresh Look For An Electric Era
Now, if we look at its design language, it doesn’t look like any other Maruti’s car. It looks quite different.
Front Profile of Maruti e-Vitara
The front grille of this car is closed. Maruti is giving brand new design LED head lamps setup in their first electric SUV e-Vitara. And underneath, we also get a fog lamp, which can be see clearly. If we look at it’s parking sensors, we get a total 4 parking sensors, and a camera in the center, which is for 360 view. Below that we have a radar and if we look at the top we have another camera which is for ADAS.

If we look at the side profile of this car, it’s unlike any other Maruti. Overall it’s roofline is flat. And it has a dual-tone roof. And look at the tires here, we get 18 inches alloy. Now at this time we don’t know about ground clearance of this car. It may be close to 200mm.

We also get a sloping roofline. The spoiler has been made a little more sloping and sporty. And the connected lights are not actually connected. They are two separate pieces of car’s lights. If we look at it clearly. And the badge of e-Vitara has been given here, with e-being in blue to signify that it is an electric car. We get 4 parking sensors at the back and also get a tow hook underneath, and a reflector just above it.
Boot Space:
Now if we look at the boot space of this car, it seems to be good enough. We also get an infinity sub-woofer in this car. And we get a 40-20-40 split. This mean that we can fold the middle seat if we want more boot space in fact this seat can be reclined 20 degree. Here, we get a charging port 18inch alloy spare wheel underneath.
Interiors Of Maruti e-Vitara
Here we get a dual-tone interior with brown & black. Soft materials is used in Maruti e-Vitara but dash board panels are made up of hard plastic.
Steering
Steering wheel comes with flat bottom and flat top. Quality of materials are good, finish is good, Overall there is not much of a premium aspects here. Steering wheel height and reach are both adjustable. On the left side we get the music controls and on right side we get ADAS control.
Center Console
If we look at the center console of this car , it feels decent. It’s not very premium on inside but its look nice in terms of fit and quality.
Instrument Cluster & Infotainment system
Maruti offers digital instrument cluster in their first electric SUV e-Vitara. And a decent enough to use. In terms of response, its basically typical Maruti screen. Easy to use. interface will not be complicated. And we go to the vehicle button here, it will actually show the range of battery/car, it also show Tire pressure monitoring system. Maruti has given buttons for AC control. We also get a wireless charging pad, cup holders in this car.
Then we get gear levers, which is quite unique. This has modes, one peddle drive also given here. Here, we have sports, eco, and regular drive modes. This car provides us electronic parking brake with auto hold, good storage under armrest, decent glove box. e-Vitara have a regular sunroof not a panoramic sunroof, but it is quite big in size.
Front Seats
And if we look at front seats, we get this nice bolt-string and headrests it also give in typical Maruti style. But in the center, we have fabric in this car. In this car we have front ventilated seat.
Rear Seat Portion
If we look at the second row of this car, overall we got a good amount of space. There is a good knee room, headroom good enough. Here is a sloping roof so that our headroom increases a little more. We get three headrests but the part of seat is fabric. In rear seats there are three colors- brownish color which is not fabric its leather, black leatherette and there is fabric part in center. We don’t get rear armrest in this car.

In this car we get a total of 7 airbags as a standard. Maruti Suzuki also providing ABS, EBD, Traction control, ADAS level 2. There is also a warning sign of ADAS on side mirrors. This car will score 5 star safety ratings in Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP.

Here, we get two battery packs 49Kwh and 61Kwh and if we talk about 61Kwh so according to Maruti it claimed range will be 500km in their driving test. This car only have 2 wheel drive options, no AWD option which Maruti has made available internationally.
The Maruti e-Vitara is expected to get a lithium-ion battery pack of around 40–50 kWh, which can offer a real-world driving range of around 350–450 km on a single charge. With an estimated 100–120 bhp power and 180–200 Nm torque, this SUV will offer smooth acceleration, perfect for city and occasional highway drives.
