Front Profile
The front end remains relatively unchanged, but some elements are new. The most significant change is the new grille design, which has now been completely updated. It still features vertical chrome accents and the Mahindra logo in the center. The headlights, indicators, and fog lamps are all halogen units, meaning no LEDs are used. The bumper design remains the same, retaining the old identity of the Bolero.
Side Profile
From the side profile, the SUV still looks muscular, bulky, and tall. It also gets 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels that give it a slightly modern touch. The design element seen on the doors remains the Bolero’s signature identity. The manually folding ORVMs are rectangular in shape, and they also retain a vintage feel. The door handles are also styled in the classic style. The “thuck” sound when opening or closing the doors speaks volumes about their strength and build quality. On the sides, you get traditional hinges, and the wheel arches still protrude. Footrests are also provided, which, along with the SUV’s high ground clearance, help with getting on and off.
Rear Profile
Coming to the rear, there haven’t been many changes here either. The first thing that catches your eye is the full-size boot-mounted spare wheel, which now features a wheel cover and Mahindra and Bolero badging. Up front, there’s a high-mounted stop lamp, rear wiper, and washer. The taillights retain the same design, and down below, there are two parking sensors and a towing hook. Footrests and a slightly protruding exhaust pipe are also visible. The Bolero’s classic side-opening boot door remains, housing the side-facing seats. However, these seats are not very comfortable and rear passengers may feel a little lack of knee space.

Cabin & Dashboard Design
The dashboard design is quite simple and minimalist, yet still retains an old-school feel. The entire dashboard is made of hard plastic. The steering wheel features the Mahindra logo and audio controls, but no cruise control. The instrument cluster is small and slightly shifted to the left, with orange-themed lighting. The 7-inch infotainment system’s screen is quite small – about the size of my hand – but its touch response is surprisingly good.
The central console houses two USB charging ports, a Type-C port, and a 12V charging socket. The AC vents are located above and are controlled by physical knobs, as digital AC isn’t available at this price point. The glove box is small but useful. The steering doesn’t have tilt adjustment or telescopic features. Starting the car is done using a key insert system. The dash also houses buttons for the headlight leveler and engine start-stop system.
Seating Comfort
The front seats are quite comfortable and supportive, with decent side bolstering and good under-thigh support. The seats are upholstered in leather–finished material, offering a premium feel. The gear lever and handbrake are traditionally styled, and the power window controls are located on the center console.
The second row is easy to get in and out of, thanks to the footrests and grab handles. Once seated, knee room, leg room, and headroom are all ample. The floor is almost flat, allowing three people to comfortably sit in. While there are no rear AC vents, there are magazine holders. There is no headrest for the middle passenger, but an armrest is provided, which is a bit low but is workable. The seat belts are not self-retracting and need to be adjusted manually – a slightly outdated setup, but retains the old-school vibe of the Bolero.
